Build financial models with AI. See what drives them. Deliver Excel.

AI writes the model. flatland runs the math.

desk is a Windows application for building and updating financial models. Describe the business and the decision, inspect the agent’s proposals, and accept the changes you want to keep.

From a question to a workbook.

  1. Create a model with its time period and currency. Give the agent the assumptions you have, and ask it to identify what’s missing.
  2. Review proposed assumptions, formulas and scenarios. Nothing becomes part of the model until you accept it.
  3. Inspect any calculated number to see its formula and dependencies. Change an assumption and compare base, upside and downside.
  4. Save the model and export an Excel workbook. The workbook’s Checks sheet lists any static cells. Reopen the model for your next update.

A forecast depends on its assumptions. flatland checks the arithmetic; you decide what goes into the model. Excel is a one-way handoff: workbook edits don’t return to desk.

What desk needs.

Windows 10 or 11 and an invitation. Use the email address that received your invitation to sign in, then download the installer from your account.

desk solves on your computer with its bundled engine. Opening, editing, solving and exporting work offline, without an account. The agent needs an internet connection and a signed-in account with an active plan.

The installer is unsigned for now. Read the Windows prompt instructions on the download page before installing.

desk doesn’t import Excel or CSV files or run on Mac or in a browser. Charts and team accounts aren’t available yet.
